Researched this watch a lot, and when this became available for a portion of the price that Filson was asking, I jumped on it. Great quality and the rubber strap is a bonus for my water activities. Time will tell how it holds up, but with Filson's warranty, I feel better about the price I paid. Thanks STP.

Quality and finish of the watch is great and the color is subdued such that it matches most everything. The only thing I should mention is the hour/minute hands are more of a beige color than white. They match the color of the numbers on the watch face. Still very visible, but something to note.

I was concerned that the rubber strap would be flimsy, but it and the clasp seem to be very sturdy. I've been interested in these Filson/Shinola watches for a long time, and couldn't pass it up for the price.

Before buying I researched Shinola and really was impressed with the companies story and history. Seems to be a great pairing between the 2 companies. Once I received the watch and tried it on, I was extremely happy. Not too bulky, yet a classic design. I like the rubber band for outdoor activities, but will likely buy another band to dress it up further. Could not beat the price either. I anticipate this watch will last for many years, just like all other Filson products.

The watch face is grey with shiny silver highlights. When the crystal face of the watch catches light in most angles the face appears blue. It is definitely not black as shown. I contacted customer service to ask if maybe I received the incorrect watch according to the description, but they assured me all the watches in stock were grey in color. Too bad because I specifically wanted the black face. The rubber band material appeared powdery and dried out. Overall I was disappointed, I had higher expectations from Sierra.

Removed the rubber band and got a leather one off of Amazon. The roller buckle was a pain to take off, but worth it once I got it onto my brown leather band. I'm really picky with watches and I think this has a unique look. Rugged/outdoorsy but still classy. The matte gunmetal look is something you don't see often.
