5.0 out of 5 stars. Comfort, Bliss in Brooklyn, NY

It felt so comfortable on wood floor that I wore them outside the next day and it remains comfortable. The construction is sturdy, comforting and stylish. This the second Merrell that I recently purchased and am still impressed and will look for additional Merrell shoes to purchase.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. My Camino shoe
Reviewed by Groix girl from Washington on Tuesday, July 25, 2017
I walked the Camino de Santiago in these and had very few problems. Only a few blisters after ten days on the trail. Next time I will wear liners with my wool socks and hope to avoid any blisters.
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. No arch support

The Merrell Kimsey hiking shoe is comfortable right out of the box, BUT will not get much use since the arch support is so so.
I am disappointed with the Kimsey.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Love these!

I have usually worn Keens for hiking shoes/boots but my last pair was causing me a ton of blisters so I decided to try these out. They're much lighter and I was skeptical that I'd enjoy them for hiking but I was happily proven wrong. They were comfortable out of the box and had great support for me - I have flattish feet and plantar fasciitis. While I haven't worn them on any heavy-mileage backpacking trips or extreme terrain yet, I did wear them recently for a 24-hour scavenger hunt/adventure race and only took them off for about 2 hours while I caught a catnap. They were still just as comfortable at the end as when I started, and weren't too hot, despite the weather being toasty for a lot of the time, and were warm enough in the overnight hours when it was nearly freezing out. I might grab another pair in case these wear out!
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice materials

I liked the looks but I just needed more room in the toes. Seemed supportive for wearing on uneven terrain. Liked the leather and colors.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Similar to Azura model
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Merrell Fan from CT on Monday, November 28, 2016
This is very similar fit for my flat feet (size 9) to the Merrell Azura but I subtracted one star as it seems slightly less comfortable due to more synthetic and less leather than the Azura. The outsoles are a little stiffer but still good for mixed walking on pavement and easy wooded trails. This is my 4th pair of Merrells; can't resist the STP price.

About Merrell

The story of Merrell boots all started with a guy named Randy Merrell, who began handcrafting leather hiking boots back in 1981, shortly after graduating from industrial shoemaking school. By the mid-80s, Randy’s boots had already gained critical acclaim before being named “best boots in the world” by Backpacker Magazine. The next decade saw the arrival of new footwear, including the ever-popular Jungle Moc, which helped launch the after-sport category. Today, Merrell hiking boots, running shoes and sneakers are still among the best on the market, always combining the newest technology, innovative designs and outstanding comfort. Whether you hike, run, walk or just appreciate high-quality shoes and boots, we’re confident that you’ll love Merrell shoes.
