Excellent stretch mesh water bottle pockets as well. The only problem with it, however, are the straps. they do not adjust on the top and the fit is a bit pinching in the upper back/neck area. If that was solved, I would give it 5 stars.

So, I just bought the larger Buffalo. The quality is the same - sturdy fabric and small stitches. This backpack is one of the largest in the Granite Gear school backpack collection. There are many pockets for organizing your stuff - front pocket for your tablet or small notebooks, moisture-resistant pocket for your smartphone, organizer panel with a zipper pocket for pens, pencils and other small items, main compartment for books, and separate padded section for your laptop. This pack is great for organizing. However, if you prefer 1 large compartment, the Splitrock may be a better fit.
