3.0 out of 5 stars. Sole glue failureReviewed by Pete from Ohio on Tuesday, July 18, 2023Have bought and used this boot brand for many years for the comfort and ankle support. However my current pair is less than 3 months old and the glue failed and the sole detached .

1.0 out of 5 stars. Quality problem with High Sierra hiking bootsReviewed by Cort from Seattle Wa. on Thursday, April 27, 2023I bought a pair of high sierra Explorer hiking boots. After about the sixth wear one of the hooked eyelets broke off. Now there is no way to tighten the laces properly. The warranty site for high sierra provides no way to get help with this issue if the boot manufacturing tag cannot be clearly read. I believe this is a poor quality product and I will certainly not buy a high sierra boot again.

1.0 out of 5 stars. Survived one day!Reviewed by NMhunter from New Mexico on Friday, April 30, 2021bought these to be a lightweight alternative to my normal hunting boots for this springs turkey hunt. They lasted one day before a rivit holding one of the eyelits pulled out of the school making them unusable. Pure junk. I feel totally ripped off. Don't waste your money on this brand.

2.0 out of 5 stars. a decent boot for light peopleReviewed by Anonymous from DHS CA on Monday, February 19, 2018This boot fit great and was very comfortable it held up very well on the interior and exterior but the sole was the downfall.I am a big guy and enjoy backpacking but when these boots come under a load of 260 lbs "40 lb pack included" the soles flatten, melt and deform under the southern California summer sun.these are great for anyone under 180 lbs if you are over that don't waste your money.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Boots for HusbandVerified Buyer Reviewed by Busy Family from Ohio on Tuesday, March 7, 2017I was skeptical of the quality because of the amazing price, and turns out these boots are awesome. My husband was very excited that they were waterproof, mid rise and so light! They look very heavy but are made of materials that are durable yet light. Very pleased.

4.0 out of 5 stars. High Sierra's Trekker hiking boots.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Sal M from Omro Wisconsin on Thursday, February 16, 2017the first pair that i received had a broken shoelace hook. I contacted customer service and another pair was sent out that day. 2 days later my replacement pair arrived without any issues. These seem like a nice pair of boots. I have not used them in wet conditions yet to test the waterproof part. Most of the time these boots leak within weeks. Time will tell.

4.0 out of 5 stars. very lightweightVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Maine on Tuesday, February 14, 2017The first thing I noticed was how light these shoes were. After loosening the laces a bit mine fit well and were extremely comfortable. The laces are thin and seem to be cheaply made which gives me some concern about longevity. That is why I gave them a 4 star rating. but so far they are doing fine. I wore them in a major snow storm to do some snowblowing and my feet were warm and dry. For the price I paid, these are a great value and I would recommend them.
