5.0 out of 5 stars. Going strong after 5+ years

I bought a couple of these in blue 5-6 years ago from Sierra Trading Post. As backpackers who are now over 50, we appreciate the luxury items like inflatable sleeping pads and these camp stools, and are willing to each carry 40-50 lbs to have some creature comforts (even canned wine!). At 2 lbs each, they are not for the ultra-light types, but they are always one of the first things to be broken out when we set up camp, and the last things to be broken down. So convenient, easy to set up, sturdy, and the shoulder strap (though we've never used them that way) would be handy to sling over your shoulder for a day at the beach, etc. They have been on many trips over the years, and I would totally trust them to hold a 200+ pound person. My boyfriend is about 185 lbs, and although he'd probably prefer it to be a little taller, he is completely comfortable sitting on one.

Great buy, great price, quality brand. Now that we have them, I can't imagine backpacking without them!

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Good piece if gear

Opens up fast and stows away easy. Great camp stool for the price.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice and Tall, sturdy build, comes with case

I find the case a little useless as the chair has a carrying strap and the case does not. Also the chair has a velcro strap to keep it closed so it does not open in transit.

This is a nice smaller stool for fishing. It’s actually very comfortable although the seat seems small it fits just right for smaller and larger folks. Perfect little stool for toting around while finding a good fishing spot.

Took these camping a few times and taking them to Tanzania this summer for a few safaris. As a safari guide I usually choose Sierra for their great deals on camping equipment.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Nice chair

I bought this to use at airshows with my family, but it's so small and light that it may come on small backpacking trips once the kids can carry more of their stuff. It's not the most comfortable backpacking chair, but its taller than many others and packs well for a relatively low price.
