I was generally impressed with the quality. I ordered it for my son who isn't exactly slim, but he's not in the husky sizes, either. This coat fits pretty snug on him. I wouldn't be surprised if that were the fit the designers intended, but it's something to keep in mind. I'd say that if you're ordering it for someone who buys slim fit clothes, they will be very happy with the fit.

It is warm enough for our New England winter, and he loves that the lighter color fabric looks like denim. My only criticism is that the hood is not insulated, but as long as your kid will wear a hat they'll be just fine.

This one fit the bill. It's warm and comfortable and seems to be of good quality. Also, while it has a hood (a feature I thought he might hate), it too is very thin and not at all bulky. it was a great purchase.

This coat is a slim cut for him, but he likes the light, but warm weight so much and has room to grow, so it will do for this winter. It has a sporty look, which he also thinks is great. I'm very pleased he likes it.
