5.0 out of 5 stars. First Impression - Awesome!

I just bought this pack for my adult sized teen age daughter. The pack is light, not "ultra-light", but very sturdy and lighter than any pack she has had previously. The ability of the pack to be adjusted is amazing and so far she's found it to be comfortable in the "around the house" test. We like that all of the contents can be reached through either the top load opening or the front load zipper opening. The extra external pocket for wet rain gear or other items will come in handy. She really likes that the top compartment transforms into an actual backpack for a summit pack, not just a "fanny pack". I was impressed as well. This should serve her well on her 3 week AT hike this summer and on our family backpacking and canoeing trips in the ADKs. I love that we got it at a bargain price at Sierra Trading Post!

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Small Hip Belt

This came with a women's small hip belt, not a medium. I reached out to STP and they were very helpful, checked the remaining stock and all had the size small belts. Aside from the sizing issue, it's a well-made bag. This is the older version so there's no integrated rain cover.

About Thule

The history of the Thule brand dates back to the early 1940s when Erik Thulin first used the name Thule on custom-made pike traps, which he sold to Scandanavian fisherman. Over the next few decades, the company shifted its business model to creating high-quality Thule car racks and eventually Thule bike racks and ski racks. Today, this innovative brand is considered a leader in car-top cargo systems. When you need to get your gear from A to B without added hassle, you can trust Thule ski racks, bike racks and kayak racks to keep your equipment safe and secure.
