The waist is comfortable and easily adjustable with the drawstring. The description of these pants states they are "Slim Fit", which I don't understand, since the hips and thighs are roomy, but not baggy and they fit closely at the ankle. These are great lightweight, comfortable running pants or for wearing to and from the gym in cool weather.
