Very nice, tailored, upscale and comfortable out of the box. I'm between a 7 and 7.5 size, and the 7.5 size was perfect.

Other than the insole slipping out the over all construction was very nice. i think they would have stretched out just fine, but I ended up sending them back.

Fit is perfect on my slightly wide B width foot. Comfy and supportive from the first step. I had to soften the counters a bit on these but I wear them without socks. I don't think they'd require that if you wear socks. The is about the 10th or so pairs of Ara shoes/boots I've bought. Can't get enough of them. And I'm a picky New Yorker.

My foot is a tiny bit wide but still a medium width, and that's their fit. The fit is great if you're sometimes between sizes because they run a tiny bit larger than most shoes but personally I wouldn't size down. On these the silver counter were a tad stiff but one pressing down on the tops of the counters and they felt great. This brand was made for me.
