However, the sole is made out of a softer material similar to that of a slipper. I've only worn them 6-10 times and there is already noticeable wear. Very disappointing. The shoe would probably last a very long time if they put a good sole on it. I don't expect them to last more than 4-5 months.

He said they are so comfortable after wearing more structured shoes during the day for work. These are not work shoes, but high quality casual shoes. He loves them!

They run about 1/2 size big; not quite 1/2 size because some of their 8.5 shoes are too small, and the 9s are too big. All depends on the model. Also, note that Merrell shoes have zero arch support. Flat soles. I often add arch supports to mine. Well made and typically last quite awhile.
