5.0 out of 5 stars. Very sturdy material!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Portage Pup 2 from Vermont on Saturday, November 7, 2015We had been looking for a good compression sack for an XXL sleeping bag that we use nearly every week. We had tried osme other ones, but they were either too small,or the material seemed flimsy. This sack is perfect for an XXL bag, and compressed nicely, without having to be a Houdini to get the bag into the sack. We are impressed with the heavy duty material, that seems very durable, and will last us through many years of use. the Khaki color is also a nice change !

1.0 out of 5 stars. Not waterproof!Reviewed by CADDIS from TENNESSEE on Sunday, July 12, 2015As others have noted, this is NOT WATERPROOF! The fabric is waterproof, but the seams are not sealed, and the top closure is just a string closure. Sierra, STOP ADVERTISING THIS AS WATERPROOF!

1.0 out of 5 stars. NOT DryLite Waterproof ~ "Tactical"Reviewed by Quetzal from Texas on Monday, May 25, 2015These are not waterproof stuff sacks. The Granite Gear packaging that the bags came in say "Tactical Round Rock Solid Compression Stuffsack" Nowhere do the words DryLite or waterproof appear on the packaging. I searched the internet for the DryLite stuff sack. and there appears as if there was a DryLite Rock Solid stuff sack available at one point, but this is not it. This one says Tactical. I removed the sack and inspected it and the seams are not sealed and the top does not fold down like a waterproof bag, and it appears as if there is a water resistant coating, but these are definitely not waterproof. I called Sierra Trading Post to report this and the SA argued with me about it, but I hope they alter the description so no one else buys this thinking it is a DryLite waterproof stuff sack. I went to the Granite Gear website and this item is still available and is not listed under their water proof stuff sacks, and no where in the description is it listed as DryLite or waterproof. I am returning these and I hope they don't charge me return shipping.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Adequate, at bestVerified Buyer Reviewed by Medford Bob from Medford, NJ on Thursday, July 23, 2009This is an adequate compression bag. It does not, however, have straps that are long enough. I prefer to "overfill" my compression bags knowing that when I tighten the straps the contents will be squished into it. The straps on this one do not allow for anything extending out (can't get the top over). The ALPS compression bags are a much better choice as they are just as light or lighter and the straps have lots of extra length.
- Best Uses: Backpacking
- Cons: Compression straps short
