4.0 out of 5 stars. nice mid weight jacketReviewed by gina from california on Thursday, February 7, 2019i ordered size M, the bicep is a little tight. no room for a light weight sweater.
the left front pocket has a pack-able pouch. that's a bonus.
it's a nice jacket for SF bay area. -
3.0 out of 5 stars. nice jacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by MStirewalt from Salisbury NC on Friday, February 1, 2019The only thing is that extra lump of material in the pocket I believe is to store the jacket. I probably would have not purchased it if I had read the reviews. It is only slightly noticeable if you know its there. To me the coat would be the type not to wad up and place in the extra built in storage area. The color is what you see. I liked the purple was it was not available so I went with the gray. I am 5'5" 140 and the medium was snug for my likings. I returned for the large and have AMPLE room. I believe knowing that I would have kept the medium.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great little jacket!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Nina from MN on Thursday, January 17, 2019I bought this for cross country skiing and haven't had a chance to try it outdoors yet, but it is quite comfy and sporty-looking. It has some stretch to it, which is nice. The blue looks more like purple in person. I would agree with the reviewer who said the excess fabric in the left pocket is a little annoying but not a deal-breaker. I could see wearing this as a casual jacket (when the weather gets warmer here in MN). I usually buy a S in outerwear, but ordered a XS after reading the reviews, and it fits fine (I'm 5'2", 108 lbs, 34C)

5.0 out of 5 stars. A GREAT PURCHASEVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Iowa on Monday, April 3, 2017I am glad I decided to order this jacket. The color is just as pictured. It is comfortable and warm, and it does not make noise when I move. I love that the material is stretchy because it allows for my arms to move freely, unlike my wool coat which binds my arms/shoulders. I've worn it in a variety of temperatures and although I am prone to quickly overheating, this seems well ventilated so I do not get overly hot when I'm indoors.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Nice versatile but utilitarian jacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by KES from Texas on Saturday, March 18, 2017I do not like the large left pocket that seems to be purposefully sewn, probably so the jacket can be stuffed into its own pocket. It seriously detracts from the overall appearance when wearing the jacket (no one wants a jacket that makes her stomach look larger than it really is). I do not like the wrists, as they are not adjustable in any way and hang over my knuckles with no way to tighten them to fit on the wrist where I want them. Those two things make this an average technical piece. It is VERY comfortable, and I find myself wearing it often, especially beneath a hard shell. It's a perfect mid-layer, and for days not so cold, a decent stand-alone jacket (despite the puffy stomach area due to the left pocket). I thought about returning it, but it's really just too versatile and comfortable to return. I actually use it and like it. Maybe I can get someone to fix that weird left pocket issue! And all my hard shell jackets have velcro adjustment tabs, so as a mid-layer, the wrists don't get in my way.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Very pleasedVerified Buyer Reviewed by Kayak girl from WI on Friday, March 10, 2017Pleasantly surprised on the wind resistance and warmth of this thin soft shell jacket. Love the fit and style, with the high low hem it keeps my backside warm and wind from drafting up. I can add a layer underneath when it is colder, wore this with a tee and flannel shirt underneath on a 15 mph wind and 20 degree temp day on a 3 mile walk and was quite comfortable. Put the hood up to keep my forehead warm and even that was great and didn't keep blowing off like many hoods do.

4.0 out of 5 stars. comfy, but not wind proofReviewed by Momarlie from Utah on Monday, February 27, 2017I was hoping for a jacket that was similar to the thin puffy jacket I wear all the time, but with a more robust fabric. I thought I found the perfect jacket, but it turns out the Merrell Unbound jacket is not windproof, which makes it pretty useless to me. It's a beautiful color, fits well, dosn't make noise, and is super comfy. But not being windproof is a dealbreaker to me. So I have to return it.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Better than a Sweatshirt after working out!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Dog Mom from Western Mass. on Friday, February 24, 2017This soft zip up is perfect for my gym bag and looks more stylish than putting on a baggy hoodie when leaving the gym!

5.0 out of 5 stars. ?Verified Buyer Reviewed by mom+more from MD on Friday, February 17, 2017Small perfect for 5'9" 130 lb gal. Surprisingly light weight plus warm. Odd large left pocket which might be used for stuffing the coat into a small packable size.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Merrell JacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by SueSews2Much from Michigan on Friday, February 3, 2017Ordered XL and it was TOO small everywhere. The shoulders seem to run small in most jackets I have tried lately ...
