I won't be able to layer like my other winter coats but this is very well insulated so just a close to body sweatshirt will do. The features and material are top shelf. The chest pockets are mainly decorative or for facial tissue only. The DWR is outstanding like a good ski jacket. The picture is accurate for fit and it has a drop tail hem so your backside should be well covered. Hope this helps.

It's now my go-to jacket for cool to cold weather with the possibility of rain/snow. Great style and functionality. Not a technical piece its definitely a casual option but I'm impressed.
