The color is a cool teal blue, and the wool feels soft, not abrasive. It keeps us warm, but is not too heavy. Glad we found it!

Well, fast-forward about 50 years, these blankets aren't as heavy or scratchy (and the colors are bright & cheerful!) but they are definitely warm! I use them on top of my flannel sheets, and when it is really cold, top it off with a down comforter. Heavenly...
I hope they become available again, as I will buy at least 3 more! -

This is my first purchase of a Faribault product, and not being familiar with the brand or quality, I just ordered a couple of these. Once they arrived, however I was very impressed with the quality--very well made, light weight without being too thin, nice and warm but breathable--lovely, bright colors, and the texture is what I think of as a classic wool blanket...a little bit rough, just like the ones my grandparents had years ago & the kind of blanket that I would only use on top of a sheet or another blanket. Just about perfect...
I wanted to purchase a few more, but they were already sold out! Hopefully they will become available again, and if so, I won't hesitate to buy one for every bed in the house as well as for other family members. -

I have a couple other wool blankets from the Pendleton Outlet on my bed, but this one from Faribault was about half the price. The blue color is accurate on the screen. I don't think the wool is scratchy at all, but I don't sleep with the blanket next to my skin, because I'd rather wash sheets frequently than wool blankets. I had been looking for affordable wool blankets for awhile, and was very happy to find this one from Faribault, so I bought 2!
