4.0 out of 5 stars. Handsome shoes, slippery insideVerified Buyer Reviewed by Mill from Illinois on Wednesday, April 11, 2018These don’t look like boots because of the low ankle, but the leather quality is superb and they look great on. However, you absolutely must wear them with thick socks. The pair I got fit me great, but just the little bit of wiggle room I have meant that when I wore them with thin, sleek socks, my feet slipped around just enough inside to badly bruise my pinky toes. If I wear them with good thick socks so that my foot doesn’t move, the shoes are very comfortable and have great support.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Real boots, not high top sneakersVerified Buyer Reviewed by Bumpy from Boston on Thursday, February 22, 2018I also have the gates sneakers and wondered if these were more high top sneaker than boot. They are boots. Frye used very different leathers on the two shoes. The sneaker leather is supple, this leather is thick and much firmer - very high quality and somehow very comfortable, but thick boot leather. Liked the first pair so much I bought a 2nd pair. Wear them almost every day in Boston winter conditions. Warm enough with wool socks but not overly warm, good for walking commute, not sure I'd go ice ice fishing in these though. Highly recommend these boots.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Sizing weirdVerified Buyer Reviewed by Nancy Dog lover from Colorado on Wednesday, January 10, 2018Bought a size 9 for son, too big, so returned for 8.5 and that pair too small. Too bad because these are really nice boots.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent.Reviewed by Rich from Albuquerque on Wednesday, December 20, 2017Comfortable right out of the box like a pair of sneakers! Fit true to size. Very soft leather. I purchased the stone color, which appears green to brown to grey depending on the lighting. These will be a favorite.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Very comfortable!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Jeff from Tennessee on Tuesday, November 14, 2017These shoes are very comfortable, living up to the Frye name! Yes, they are made in China, but I haven’t found anything that tells me they are inferior in quality.
