5.0 out of 5 stars. Great Jacket!

I bought this jacket specifically for mountain biking. I wanted a durable jacket that actually breathed well. This fits the bill perfectly. The angle wing movement keeps the sleeves in place while riding. I love the front pocket but the zip pull is somewhat hard to grasp when wearing gloves. I added a little piece of parachute cord, problem solved. Far better than any other riding specific jacket that I own (i.e.: adidas response, cannondale morphis & performance zeal). Ive worn this jacket in the low 30's with a mid layer on underneath and in the low 50's with just a jersey on and have stayed warm and comfortable. I am 5'10" and 190lbs and the large fits perfectly

Excellent jacket (soft shell) for either mild climates or layered. 100% polyester-no fleece- for use in moderate climates.

I was expecting something more mid weight. This is very thin. It is the M3 fleece and apparently I should have bought the M2 or even the M. It is a very nice jacket and seems to be very well made. Haven't decided whether I'll keep it and look for something heavier.

    Nice jacket.

    I'm 5'8 around 175 with 42 inch chest.

With Marmot it's hit or miss with me. Large or Medium....it's a flip of a coin.

I got a large, was too big. Needed a Medium.

I have been looking for an affordable soft shell for some late fall and winter outdoor activities. I went with this shell and I am very pleased with it. It fits great, looks great and fits the description to a tee. I will get a lot of use out of this. The only thing I am not thrilled about is the elastic aroudn the wrists. I would have prefered a velcro wrap but I really can't complain.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
