5.0 out of 5 stars. Best backpack I've bought!

I bought this backpack in preparation for a week of hiking in Maine (Acadia/Baxter State Park) and it did not disappoint! It is lightweight, compact, and extremely comfortable. Even after hours of hiking, it did not bother me in any way. I love that there are so many areas for storage and a special place for a water bladder. Plus the color is beautiful. Would absolutely recommend this product!

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Great ski pack
Reviewed by Dry backpacker from Colorado on Monday, April 29, 2019
I use this pack for resort skiing and skinning. I like to carry an extra down jacket, powder cords, food and water, etc. for whatever situation might arise while I am skiing or skinning. I was thrilled to unzip the sides of the outside pouch compartment and be able to get my helmet in there (and it is secure with the included elastic cord)! However I had to push the googles, which I keep attached to the helmet, inside the helmet to get it in that compartment. So 4 stars instead of 5. Other than that it is comfortable and has plenty of separate storage areas! I also like how easy it is to insert and remove a hydration bladder in the outside compartment along the wearer's back. I used a partially full 3L bladder but it looks like a 2L one might fit better. I have an insulated cover on my hydration tube and it fits just fine in the little plastic holder that secures it in place. There is an ice ax loop with bungee cord handle attachment, so I may try to see if I could get a day's worth of mountaineering gear in it some time. Also might try to fit my shovel and probe in there (although no separate compartment for that) for a day in the backcountry. It seems roomy for 22L but it's had to tell until it if fully loaded.

About Gregory

After designing his first backpack as a Boy Scout at the age of 14, Wayne Gregory dedicated his career to making outstanding gear, a mission that eventually led him to create Gregory Mountain Products in 1977. From the beginning, Gregory backpacks have been engineered using a combination of field research and customer feedback in order to enhance durability, fit and function. The brand has pioneered many industry firsts, such as multiple pack sizes with different frame, harness and waist belt dimensions. They also developed the first waist belt system that offered a variety of hip angles. Not surprisingly, Gregory backpacks have been praised in a wide range of publications, from Backpacker magazine to National Geographic Adventure.
