3.0 out of 5 stars. Runs smallVerified Buyer Reviewed by Lee- ak from Alaska on Thursday, February 1, 2018Stylish fit, but a bit tight at the hips. I had to return it. Expensive proposition from Alaska since the postage is higher both ways.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Warm, cuteVerified Buyer Reviewed by Tiffany Mom of the North from Minnesota on Tuesday, January 30, 2018I wear this in very cold temperatures and it keeps me warm. The white is difficult to keep clean but it makes me much more visible which is especially great when going to work in the dark. Perfect for the cold north.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Warm & Light WeightReviewed by Anonymous from GreatLakes on Tuesday, January 16, 2018This coat feels like wrapping a blanket around me and zipping it up. Luxury.
The fit is ATHLETIC! I needed a coat to accommodate wide-set, developed shoulders and a moderately proportioned 5'11"; 150# figure, and was having a difficult time of it. Mtn Hardwear was the best among five major brands tried. If I pull my shoulder back, there is tightness across the chest, but when reaching forward, as in holding a steering wheel, there's NO PULL or tightness across the back; fantastic!! I wore it in 15F with a 15mph wind, with just a light long-sleeve base layer top and a windproof fleece scarf, and was toasty when outside -- and didn't sweat while inside stores; again, Fantasic!
Was looking for a lighter-weight hooded down jacket than my old 4# Parka of another brand -- though that 4-pounder has saved my life dozens of times in -10 Fahrenheit temps with 12+mph wind. This Mountain Hardwear Downhill Metro Coat is a good option down to 0-20F temps with moderate winds. Its hood offers adjustment with internal-spring pull chords along the face area (with nifty little chord-keepers built-in alongside the zipper channel, but fits close tot he face, offering no extra shield from snow and wind on the face. It's not for extreme weather unless you wear additional accessories. The inner lining of the coat and hood is luxuriously smooth, but with the hood up, I notice a LOT of noise, which might be a bummer for a gorgeous walk along a snowy, wooded path.

3.0 out of 5 stars. I love this coat… But I can’t get it off.Reviewed by Bananie from Northern mi bfe on Wednesday, January 10, 2018I love this coat… But I can’t get it off. So, upon wearing this to go get the mail today, I was very happy with this purchase. But, when I try to lower the zipper down in order to take the jacket off, the zipper won’t move past the endpoint and let me separate the two pieces. I cannot get this jacket off. There is something wrong with the zipper

5.0 out of 5 stars. Warm!Verified Buyer Reviewed by HT from San Francisco on Tuesday, December 12, 2017I bought this as a gift for my mom but honestly have been wearing it around my apartment until Xmas. It's super warm, hits right at the thighs so covers the behind nice. The blue color is nice. I got her a medium (I'm a small) and there is a significant difference because there's definitely some extra room around the middle. I'd say it's true to size and maybe even runs a tad big so you can wear the appropriate winter clothes with it.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice coatVerified Buyer Reviewed by Happy Buyer from Boston on Sunday, November 26, 2017Coat did not fit over a cardigan sweater and there was no larger size.
I usually wear L or XL, the coat was an XL.
I returned it to a brick and mortar Sierra Trading Post, which was extremely easy to do.
It's a good looking coat and feels like it will be very warm in winter. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Super Warm, Kinda PuffyVerified Buyer Reviewed by MS from Chicago on Thursday, November 16, 2017It's really comfortable and very warm! Perfect length. I am 5'3" and around 125 lbs and I got the medium. Small would've been fine but I wanted a little extra room to accommodate my big cozy sweaters underneath. The upper arms are a little puffy but honestly the warmth outweighs the puffiness for me personally.
