The weight of this jacket feels a bit lighter than the flannel lined version, but the duck fabric is the classic sturdy fabric you expect from Carhartt and still very warm. I ordered the tall because my husband is long-waisted and is 6' 2", 290lbs. The length was perfect for him. He chose a 3XL to leave room for warm shirts underneath, but he could have gotten a 2XL.
