It does however holds your food, beats a paper plate and you can cut on them and eat comfortably and not drop your food. I just bought them and have not seen the long term wear, but I can tell you that they are a great value and worth the price as. I compared other camping plates before I bought these and they get quite pricy, these are worth the purchase.
