The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that they are a wee bit stiff and a bit loose in the heel. They DO NOT slip off, and the stiffness does not make them uncomfortable. A 9.5 fits my foot & heel best but I have to get a 10 because my 2nd toes are both ling. I think they are sized well for most folks. Great shoes.

They are slightly short in the toe area and have some heel slippage. I am going to wear them for a few days and see if they don't "work-in". I have purchased Merrell for years and usually can go right out of the box with a size 8.5, but these... They are so cool looking tho - hard to find in a sturdy casual shoe.

Usually I order a half size up in this brand but I followed advice and ordered my regular size. They do run a little big.
More plain looking than I expected, not super stylish but not too dorky either. The fact is my older feet need comfort and support and as far as that need goes these shoes don't look too bad. Would be good for flying with the comfort and easy on/off
