2.0 out of 5 stars. zipper no good

I wanted to like this coat...nice weight, rain resistant, lots of pockets, but the zipper is unworkable. It is the worst metal zipper I have ever had to wrestle with. Not for me. Ordered several hoping that the first one was an anomaly, but it is not.

  • 2.0 out of 5 stars. Disappointed

I loved what I saw, style, color (Sequoia Red), features, in this jacket on line. So I ordered. It arrived and I was so disappointed. Material didn’t seem like TNF quality and the construction was strange. In the photos before ordering I hadn’t noticed the hemline. Take a close look. If that doesn’t bother you then maybe it’s a go. I don’t care for anything that looks like remnants were used to put it together. Even at great STC prices! I returned mine. Love STC though so will keep my eyes open!

  • 1.0 out of 5 stars. doesn't work

I wanted to like this jacket so much...the first one I ordered was the wrong size, so I reordered, and the metal zipper was unusable.I requested another jacket, and it's zipper was also stiff and would align easily. I had to step out of the jacket to take it off (another reviewer said the same thing). Also the fit was off. I am a 38C and need an XL for the top part of the jacket, but then the bottom of the jacket was very wide, almost bell-like. Strange.

About The North Face

Believe it or not, The North Face story didn’t begin on a high-altitude ascent. It actually began in San Francisco at less than 200 feet above sea level. However, what started as a neighborhood mountaineering shop has since evolved into an industry-leading, award-winning outdoor equipment and apparel brand. Since its inception more than 40 years ago, The North Face has grown to include clothing and gear designed for nearly every type of adventure, from alpine skiing to backpacking to trail running. Today, The North Face jackets and pants are chosen by world-class athletes, and The North Face rugged boots help carry explorers through the toughest terrain, from the icy slopes of Everest to Utah’s Green River basin.
