I had to return them, which cost nearly 25% of what I paid for them. So they were not a "good deal".

I've worn New Balance trail running shoes for 5k's and 8k's, but never realized that my shoes didn't actually fit for longer runs. Additionally, my last pair of shoes had quite a few miles already under its soles. So, I purchased these 690V2 shoes a half-size larger than my former pair, and have done long-runs for the last couple weeks in them with no toenail problems. They feel and fit nicely, and they're pretty lightweight, as advertised.
