4.0 out of 5 stars. Comfortable Shoes!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Trout_Fever from Colorado on Friday, January 4, 2019I received the Asolo Blade GV Gore-Tex shoes very quickly from Sierra Trading Post.
These are my first pair of Asolo brand boots or shoes. I have been typically wearing Oboz, Merrell and Salomon boots.
The sizing is just right and they fit comfortably from the initial time I put them on and after a 4 mile hike. They are a bit hard to tie on and the tongue was quite thin (was not sure about that initially, but I do not mind the thin tongue).
There are a couple of minor issues with the shoes.
First, they are somewhat noisy with the squeak that seems to come to shoes with synthetic, man-made material. An annoyance, but does not detract from the shoe too much.
Second, the shoes have Vibram soles; however, the sole allows a lot of feeling of the surface being walked on. I took the shoes on a gravel road and I could feel the small stones on the walk. Again, it is not a huge issue unless hiking on a rough terrain. If I was going on a hike on a more rocky terrain, I would probably choose a boots with a more rugged and stiff sole.
Overall, I am happy with the shoes,,, They are light and comfortable. Quality seems to be sound, but have only had a few weeks so I cannot speak to long-term durability.
