The material is cotton, mid-weight, almost like a flannel...so not for super hot days, I washed it and it needed an iron touch-up. I normally wear a 6-8, the small was too large, so I returned for an xs and am happy with it. I like skirts and the price point is good on this one, zipper is not super high quality but will suffice. Pockets a plus.
