5.0 out of 5 stars. Another Marmot WinVerified Buyer Reviewed by MicheleD from California on Monday, April 2, 2018I love Marmot, so take this with a grain of salt... But this jacket is fabulous! Fits like a typical Marmot, so when in doubt, size up. If you plant to layer, size up. I normally wear a Small, but always get Medium with Marmot jackets. This is not a lined jacket, so a medium gives me room for a down liner or a polar fleece underneath. The jacket has pit zips, a BIG hood, generous hand pockets, an inside "security" pocket (big enough for a passport), and a small pocket in the sleeve - for a cell phone?
The (purple) color is gorgeous - deep, rich purple.
You can "zip in" a compatible liner, or do what I do, and just put a down liner jacket under it. This is a Goretex jacket with plenty of extras for $120 (with discount), what more can you ask for? -

5.0 out of 5 stars. Exactly!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Particular from Oregon on Monday, February 19, 2018Tried this coat near Mt. Hood this week. The rain beaded up perfectly, I stayed completely dry on a 3 hr snowshoe hike. And, I didn't overheat or get at all chilled. Couldn't ask for better.

4.0 out of 5 stars. No Angel Wing MovementReviewed by Kkuhl from Omaha on Wednesday, February 14, 2018Nice goretex jacket, but jacket rides up when I lift my arms- I even sized up so I could layer. It still suits my needs, and is a great price so I'm keeping it. I'm 5'2, 135# and ordered a medium.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice, but not roomyVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Boston on Wednesday, May 10, 2017I bought this mostly for biking and rainy days as a replacement for an old Marmot shell that had become worn out and covered in bike grease. This is nicely made, warm and keeps me totally dry. I'm a little disappointed by the extent of the tight fit. I'm 5'8" and around 135lbs. I wear a medium in just about everything, including my older Marmot. I bought this is a medium and though it fits, the cut makes it feel constricting. Because of this, the rain coverage is minimal. It's fairly short, so there's no protection below the waist. Unlike my old jacket, this is not longer in the back and so doesn't protect your rump when you sit or bike. Though the sleeves go to my wrist, if I stretch my arms (i.e., reach out to the handlebars on my bike), the sleeves ride up a little. I was on the fence about whether to keep it or return. I decided to keep because I just couldn't find anything else in this price range that wasn't too light weight. I'm glad I did keep it, and I do like it, I just wish it were a little longer at the bottom and in the sleeves. I also wish their were one more inside pocket (this has two outside and one inside). If you're accustomed to a short, slim fit, you'll probably love this. I think it might just take me some to to get used to, as it's a different fit from the once I'm replacing. The cut, however, keeps me from giving it a full 5 stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Very Nice Jacket - ReturnedVerified Buyer Reviewed by City Girl from California on Tuesday, March 21, 2017Very well made and attractive shell jacket. With a zippin layer this jacket would take you through very cold/wet weather. I ordered the Large and found the shoulders way too snug, so I returned it.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Excellent for keeping warm and dryVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Oregon on Friday, February 24, 2017I'm 5'4" and weigh 115, chose a Medium for extra layering room and a little extra length. Good in the downpours we've been having in the Pacific Northwest. Fits comfortably over a hooded down jacket; the rain hood is easy to adjust and keeps water off my face. One minor disappointment: I prefer a 2-way front zipper. All the zippers and front placket are good at keeping water out. I expect to keep wearing this for many seasons.
