A flattering and, hopefully, waterproof jacket

4.0 out of 5 stars. Stylish, handsome, usefulReviewed by milestogo from Tucson, AZ on Thursday, September 19, 2013I ordered two somewhat similar jackets to use while hiking, this, and one from another manufacturer, and chose this one. It's light, has a nice texture and feel, it's a great periwinkle blue, and it folds into an extra small stuff sack. The body and sleeves are somewhat fitted, less boxy and sleeker than other wind and rain jackets. The hood does not retract or fold into the collar, as in some styles, but since I expect to wear this primarily when it's raining I'm going to need the hood out anyway. The collar is not too high, it does not scratch the bottom of my chin as other jackets often do, and the velcro closure cuffs are particularly comfortable. Just a caution: I'm 5 ' 4 " and 105 lbs, with long arms and legs. I bought the medium because I like some extra room, so I can wear a heavier layer underneath. The jacket is cut very slim, and if you're much bigger than me you won't have space for an extra layer. You might consider sizing up. In an ideal world this jacket would have longer pit zips than it does. While it's definitely sporty it's also way more stylishly cut than most such jackets, so you needn't confine its use to hiking or camping. I haven't yet worn it in the rain but it's beautifully made and I expect it will keep me warm and dry regardless of conditions.

5.0 out of 5 stars. A flattering and, hopefully, waterproof jacketReviewed by Anonymous from Colorado on Wednesday, March 13, 2013I feel ridiculous writing a review for something I've not yet worn, but won't remember to review it later. I bought this jacket for an October trip to Martha's Vineyard. Have resisted buying a lightweight, waterproof jacket here in Colorado because it seldom rains, but this one has a flattering fit and a fairly tight-fitting hood making it perfect (I hope!) for nasty Atlantic waterfront weather. I usually wear a size 14 top, but purchased the XL so I could wear a fleece under it. The sleeves are a bit too long, but I needed the extra room in the torso.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Lightweight and ComfortableVerified Buyer Reviewed by CA Gal from Cayucos, CA on Monday, April 30, 2012I bought this jacket for a trip to Sweden. I haven't gone yet but have worn the jacket. It is very comfortable and lightweight and will be easy to pack. I am 5'7" and 125 lbs and am broad shouldered. I ordered a Large because I like these kinds of jackets to be a little big for layering. It's a little boxy in the body for me and I probably could do a medium but I'll keep the large. Sleeve length is ample. Zippers are good.
- Pros: Lightweight, Quality fabric
