I do not use a blanket, just this comforter over flannel sheet in cold weather.....and we DO get cold weather here! >_< Super soft....not heavy, but super warm! WE LIKE IT VERY MUCH !
Though I haven't washed it, so no telling if it will shrink....thus far, it fits great on queen size bed. -
