4.0 out of 5 stars. initial impressionVerified Buyer Reviewed by Forrest from Memphis on Sunday, November 4, 2012These gloves seem like high quality merchandise. I bought them for a trip to Kilimanjaro. I really like the removable liner. However, beware the sizing. I would say I'm a large. I bought XL, and they are just barely snug, probably a perfect fit. Go a size up.
- Pros: Well Made

1.0 out of 5 stars. incorrect sized gloves sent to US?Verified Buyer Reviewed by ~in a small town... from kenai mountains, alaska on Saturday, November 3, 2012Nearly every pair, no matter the brand of gloves bought online from Sierra Trading, are at least one full size to two smaller than traditional US sizes.
Compared to other brand 'new-old stock' gloves I have from 4 to 6 years ago that are of correct size and measure properly, this brand falls short; as did the Auclair and the Mountain Hardwear gloves which I recently bought; were all ordered in X Large even though my traditional size had been Large or Med in men's size.
Each of these gloves were bought to replace the earlier ordered ones; and for this cost, I could go to a recreational equipment inc retailer & pay full cost to get one pair, if they make an honest size large anymore that doesn't need to be extra L.
So I am getting together another boxful of tried-once products bought from STPost online to see if I can get a refund, since an exchange won't do when the sizing is not correct. This appears to be a new sizing trend since at retail, the X X Large sells for a higher price than regular Large. I've seen this across most brands in fact.
I suspect some of those who buy gloves and luck out must be somewhere between the small to medium size and not notice the industry-wide downsizing.
And gloves with removable liners said to be X L are nearly X L without the liner inside; yet so many of these have a cheap cloth main glove interior that would not survive serious usefulness as a glove for outdoor work or energetic effort, very long before failure or ripping out.
I usually get those leather gloves with pile lining that are almost disposable for use in winter since they can be dried out and they often sell for six dollars a pair at industrial hardware in the larger town. I'm not impressed with the seventy dollar retail ones, since they are flawed.
And I have other boxes of STP ordered stuff that really should be sent back, quite a penalty on top of pseudo-discount pricing to get rid of this junk.
It does no good to list the defects on each item either since those do not appear to be read, there. Such as the manufacture defects on shoes that were worn on carpet, indoors, yet squeeked. At least I did get another pair that were quiet...!- Best Uses: Circus Freakware
- Cons: Size Xl Is Really Medium
- Pros: Appear Unused

4.0 out of 5 stars. excellent glove for the priceVerified Buyer Reviewed by erikjl12 from Lead, SD on Monday, October 8, 2012Fits like any other xl when the liner isn't in. With the liner it's kind of snug but not a deal breaker.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Outdoor Research Highcamp GlovesVerified Buyer Reviewed by No man from Colorado Springs, CO on Wednesday, September 19, 2012I bought these gloves for the upcoming winter season. These gloves have a lightweight fleece liner, which have textured grip dots on them. There are several closures and buckles to keep the snow and elements out. It has only been in the 40's so far so no real need to use them yet, but I anticipate good things.
- Best Uses: Outdoor
- Cons: bulky
- Pros: Lined, Warm, Weatherproof
