It has a definite back/reverse side, for those who may or may not like that. The front has various colors of wool sewn in strips that add a lot of texture and make this scarf stand out from the usual. It is actually better and more expensive-looking in person than in the photos. The downside is that it is not soft. If you are sensitive to itchy wool this is not the scarf for you.

It will be easy to wrap and the colors are very subtle. It is a gift so I have not worn it but I think it will be a well used addition for the winter and easy to store when you get where you are going.
