4.0 out of 5 stars. Took two weeks to love themVerified Buyer Reviewed by Josh from Kentucky on Monday, September 10, 2018These are old-style boots; as in, turn of the last century old-style. I love Chippewas and have several pair but their sizing has always eluded me. My 10D service boots fit like gloves (Perfect. Boot.) My engineer boots are boats. I almost returned these 10D Blaze boots because they were tight and I knew they would required extensive break-in. The medium width in this boot is rather narrow. Now that they're broken in, it's fine but getting them there was work. The toe box is narrow by design but I knew that going in. As of today, two weeks after I got them, they are getting comfortable and I realize that they will probably outlive me. It's an all-leather boot so you'd better scratch up the soles on some concrete before you go anywhere in them. They fit great through the ankle and provide lots of support. They are lightweight. The leather is flawless. These are my Sunday boots so I'm going to do my best to keep them looking pur-dee. They honestly wouldn't look too out of place with a suit. I would not have paid retail for these but am certainly happy with them for the price I paid. As with all Chippewa boots, they will last forever with proper care and feeding. But be advised: these boots are a project and a commitment. You'll be rewarded. Eventually. If you want the look without the work, consider some Ariat Heritage IV Paddock boots; those feel like Reebok's out of the box but will be dead and buried while these are still going strong.
