I was concerned about the beige to off white delineation and it's very subtle. The pictures show more of a contrast between the two areas. I also wanted plates that didn't have a wide rim. These have a flat bottom with a small upcurve around the edge. Exactly what I was looking for. The packaging was great since the UPS driver delivered the box and it had a big crushed section on the bottom box. I took pictures of it just in case items were broken, but luckily they were all fine thanks to the sturdy packing materials. I would DEFINITELY buy these again. What a great set and at a super price. I bought two.
