They offer protection, warmth, and still enable you to use your gun. I hunted last weekend in 30-45 degree weather and it was raining the whole time. These gloves kept me dry and warm, and I didn't have to worry about them being too bulky. Typically, I wear gloves to where I am going to hunt and then take them off. Not with these. I wore them all day.

The thin construction gave me the flexibility I wanted that a lot of waterproof gloves do not provide.
