I am between and 38 and 40, I have a couple pair of North Face shorts in size 40 and they are a little loose, but a belt keeps them up. I tried these on and they were smaller than a 36. I was afraid it was just one pair was mismarked, no I ordered 2 pair and the other pair fit the same way. If you order these, get at least 2 sizes bigger and they might fit.
Very disappointing, I was looking forward to wearing them.
