Pocket seam was split due to manufacturer defect. Called Sierra Trading Post. Since I bought them four months ago, no return, no help. Out of luck. Bad product, bad response from Sierra. Spend way too much money with Sierra to be treated this way. Used to be a happy Sierra customer. No more. Oh well. Apparently they got too big to help customers.

I wear 36 in everything, XL in casual pants - I'm also tall and all limbs. Ordered the XL and while waist wasn't bad, the seat was too tight. Returned them for the XXL and these are just right for a shell outer layer. I also wear a 36 inseam, and the long size is just right. These are very well made, reasonably lightweight, and a good price with coupon.

He has a 34" waist and 36" inseam. The Velum pant's waist was too small for him to pull on over jeans and barely large enough to wear alone. The length was good. I tried them on over my jeans and they fit me (size 10, 36" inseam) and the inseam is perfect. I will use them and keep shopping for a pair to fit him. They appear well constructed. I haven't tried them in the rain yet.
