2.0 out of 5 stars. Did not pass the backcountry test...Reviewed by Anonymous from Portland, OR on Saturday, September 26, 2015I took this sleeping pad on a 2-night backpacking trip to Yellowstone a few weeks ago, and was disappointed. My biggest complaint is that it did not provide enough padding between me and the ground. The center part of the pad is only 1" thick, and by morning it seemed like less because of air leakage overnight. Sleeping on my side, my hip kept hitting the ground. The pad allowed me to shave 6 ounces from my previous pad, but at the expense of sleeping comfort.
Next trip will be with a better pad, probably a Therm-a-rest Neoair Xlite. I've decided after sleeping on the Hyalite for 2 nights that it's worth the money to get a better sleeping pad, even if it's 3 times the cost. -
2.0 out of 5 stars. Not what I expected.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from California on Wednesday, August 12, 2015When I first received the sleeping pad I thought that I had made a good buy. The material felt sturdy and it seemed like it was going to be comfortable. However, when I took it on a camping trip to the High Sierras I was bit disappointed. It deflated so much throughout the night and I had to keep waking up to put air in it again.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great padVerified Buyer Reviewed by Jason Voelkl from Missouri on Monday, April 14, 2014I have used this twice on weekend trip in the past month. It has done its job and held the air. It packs down small and light for a self inflating pad. Need more time to check durability, but it seems like it will last.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice sleeping pad at a great priceReviewed by Anonymous from Asheville, NC on Friday, March 21, 2014Just got this in and it looks really nice. Haven't slept on it yet but it is comfortable to lay on. Did not fully inflate on its own, but may get a little more full after it decompresses a bit. After inflating once it weighed in at exactly 20 oz. with tie strap, on the plus size it will actually pack down to 6" wide x 8" long and may get a bit smaller with a nice compression sack. Overall very happy with this purchase.
