However, the crease of the tongue where it folds jabbed into the front of my ankles with each step and was extremely painful. Couldn't even get around the block with the dog. Unfortunately, I had to return them. Might work for someone that doesn't have bony ankles?

I followed the advice of others who had reviewed them and bought an 8, my usual size. Way too small. Ended up giving them to a friend who adores them. She is a 7 1/2. I was sad to see that there weren't any more available. I would have bought another pair in 8 1/2.

I’m normally an 8 and I ordered an 8.5 because I was thinking that like other boots, I may need them to be bigger. I was wrong, the 8’s probably would have been fine and they are a little big/ sloppy on my feet, but that is not the boots fault :-) They are very comfortable and good for walking which is important! The soles seem pretty grippy on ice and snow too. I didn’t give them a 5 star rating ,because they could be a little warmer.
