I do not have a big head and usually fit fine in medium or large helmets. My other Komperdell balaclava came in two sizes S/M and L/XL. I have the L/XL and it fits great. This balaclava seems to just be the S/M size but they labeled it One Size Fits All. It will fit all smaller heads.
This balaclava has thicker material everywhere but on the top of the head, which I think is a great design for wearing under a helmet. I wish it would have fit me better. -

Maybe it will loosen up after a couple of attempts, or maybe I will pass it on to someone of smaller stature. A balaclava should not make you feel claustrophobic.
