They run pretty big...my shoe size is 8.5 and the heel of these socks ride up the back of my ankle. Also, they're not below the ankle, more like an inch above. But that's ok with me because that keeps them from slipping down. Other than those minor details, these socks are awesome...form fitting w/o being tight, arch support, don't slip down, not slippery inside your shoe, not thin but not too thick, well-made....I love them even tho they're a little too big!
