I just returned from a week long ride with hours of rain. It worked perfectly for this application. It is a little difficult to zip and was bent as many reviewers mentioned. It is very well constructed and the pint has enough space for my iPhone and wallet.

They are sturdy little bags but unfortunately the original manufacturer tightly folded the bags in half along the ziploc. The end result is that the bag does not remain water tight and the seal breaks along the fold, if not right away over a couple of hours. Sad because if it weren't for this fault it would get 5 stars. I did try to flatten the bags for several days to see if it would help but the fold is quickly remembered by the ziploc.

Bought Six of These - All Leaked Badly at the Ziploc Seal.Reviewed by WA Kayaker & Hiker from WA State on Monday, September 16, 2013Bought Four of These - All Leaked Badly at the Ziploc Seal. The root of the problem seems to be that the manufacturer folded in half the dry bag's Ziploc seal and compressed it tightly inside its sales packaging. This method of packaging seems to have effectively destroyed the watertight integrity of the Ziploc seal in all of the tested Hyalite bags - 100% failure. Out of curiosity I compared a cheap generic plastic Ziploc bag from the kitchen drawer, and it was more effective at keeping items dry than this leaky Hyalite dry bag was.
