That is not true. These are nice, smooth panties that are closer to bikinis than briefs (esp if you go down a size).

I usually never have opportunity to complain about clothing being too wide in the hips, but I'll be taking these in about 1/4 inch down both side seams. But it is worth it because the fabric is just divine and there are no panty lines to be seen.
