They have room inside for a glove liner if you really needed one, but I haven't bothered yet, even in [...]30 degrees. The one draw back is the wrist support; it's so massive and I didn't care for it. Personally I felt more vulnerable not being able to move normally, but the guards slide right out and then you can use these as normal mittens!
