4.0 out of 5 stars. Looks yummyVerified Buyer Reviewed by bouyscout from North Cackalacky on Thursday, February 5, 2015I bought these in size 2 and they're big but I paid $5 for a dozen of them so, why not? I often do this when STP does their "80% off with free shipping" sale and you can buy a dozen flies for $5. I'll use them in the next year while on work assignment in Tobago. They might be a little big for Caribbean island bonefishing but they look like shrimp so I'm sure something will eat it. They appear to be pretty well made.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Saltwater fliesReviewed by Frisco Hiker from Colorado on Sunday, December 8, 2013As far as I can tell, these Standard Gotchas are every bit as good as any saltwater fly I have purchased in the shop. The only difference is the incredible savings offered through Sierra trading Post. Thank You!

4.0 out of 5 stars. Decent Flies, Great DealReviewed by Anonymous from Trenton, NJ on Monday, August 5, 2013The Gotcha (along with the Charlie) is one of the standard bonefish flies. Truth be told, bonefish are rarely all that picky when it comes to fly selection, and this fly imitates a small shrimp that is on the menu just about anywhere in the world. The key to presenting a fly to a bonefish is that they always are looking down, and therefore the fly needs to be deep enough.
This Gotcha has heavier eyes than normal, which will cause it to sink quickly. It's particularly useful for fishing slots and deeper than normal flats. On the other hand, this Gotcha won't generally be your main fly because most of the time you'll be fishing shallow flats. This fly is too heavy for that: the heavy eyes will spook a bonefish in a shallow flat, and the extra weight will cause the fly to snag easily on the bottom. However, it's a very useful fly to have in your box for the times you'll need it... on a typical day, perhaps only for a few shots.
