5.0 out of 5 stars. Great fit and lightweightVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Illinois on Friday, October 23, 2015Soft fabric - nice hand feel. Besides the zipper and snap closure there is a drawstring at waistline to cinch it up for a more snug fit. And drawstring at ankles too.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Extremely flatteringReviewed by Anna from Berkeley, CA on Saturday, October 17, 2015Can't say enough about these pants. I've purchased 4 pairs. They make your tush look AMAZING. Super comfy. Flatter my larger thighs. They run a little big, so order down. Tie waste is a little strange (its a long string and you have to tuck it into the pants, where it can look a little bulky).

4.0 out of 5 stars. Really comfortable pantsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Georgia from Denver on Wednesday, August 5, 2015I have three pair of these pants. They are light weight, good for casual wear, yet smart looking, great for travel as they dry quickly. The drawstring at the waist needs to be hooked with the zipper and snap or it is not comfortable. It would also be nice to have another pocket or two. However, I get compliments on them all the time. Could be nice enough for a casual lunch or dinner. Love these pants.

5.0 out of 5 stars. comfortable and lightVerified Buyer Reviewed by stoney point from duuth on Wednesday, August 5, 2015I love these pants. I've ordered every color. They wear well and travel well. They do run large, but not a problem as they have been consistent in the sizing. I wear a 12 in these pants and 14 or xl in most others.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Comfy, but size and color is offReviewed by Andrea from New England on Monday, June 8, 2015Definitely a good, stretchy, fast-drying fabric that's useful for outdoor use. I brought them to New Zealand, and although they weren't my go-to backpacking pant choice (only one pocket, situated lower on the leg so that if you put anything heavy it almost feels as though it's pulling it down), they did well as a day-hike option or around the campground look.
I struggle with pant sizes I guess, I am about 5' 7" and 130 pounds, athletic build, and my pant size is different everywhere! I got a 4 in these, but I think a 2 would have been a more flattering, "active" fit. I ended up just keeping them in case I wanted to wear a warm base layer underneath. It's strange because I got a size 4 in the "Anytime Outdoor" Columbia pant, active fit, and they fit perfectly! I do like the drawstring tie so they don't fall down, and the drawstring ankle bottoms are handy too.
The material is super comfy and super stretchy, I did lots of athletic activity in them and they are not restricting at all. Of course they dry fast as well!
I'm a little disappointed about the color, too, they are definitely have a tint of green, while I was hoping for just gray like in the picture. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Lightweight with a bit of stretchReviewed by clothesgirl from Southeast USA on Monday, September 29, 2014Ordered these pants for spring hiking and wildflower trek and they were perfect. Nice lightweight with a bit of stretch for active movement. The size 10 ran true to size.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Soooooo comfortable!Verified Buyer Reviewed by rivergirl from Northern Rockies on Sunday, June 1, 2014These are my second pair of "Just Right" pants from Columbia - now I have three pairs, one each of wide leg, straight leg, and bootcut. At 5'4", the Short is a tiny bit too short, but wearable for sports and around the house; got the bootcut in regular length for a sleeker look for "town pants".
These pants are incredibly comfortable! I could easily sleep in them. Forewarned by other reviews, I did go down a size, and still need the inner drawstring to keep them up despite my ample hips and waist due to the stretch and partial bias cut. I appreciate the higher back and a rise that isn't too low. The fabric is thin, but not as thin as some reviews claim, and I have no problem with panty lines or see-through.
My only complaint is the lack of useful pockets; the one thigh pocket is not sufficient for much more than a key and lip balm, and the zipper tab scratches my forearm when sitting. I can see, though, that the stretchy fabric might make traditional pockets bulge in an unsightly manner. Nevertheless, I would buy more if Columbia added pockets, and would give five stars for them.
Listen to all the reviewers who went back for multiple pairs of "Just Right" pants, and order several - these are go-to keepers! -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Great light weight pantsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Tucson traveler from Tucson, AZ on Saturday, May 3, 2014I bought these pants for hiking and travel and they are exactly what I expected. They are light weight, quick dry, water resistant and have the sun screen. I am 5'2" and they are too long but I plan on hemming them and just eliminating the drawstring at the cuff which will work fine for me. The waist has an inside drawstring, and the pants fit great-not too tight and not too baggy. I have 4 pair of the just right summiteer capris and I love them which is why I ordered these pants. Great price too. (Saw them at a local store for $60!) The color is more of a greenish gray than gray which I like.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Hiking pants are a hitReviewed by clothesgirl from tn on Tuesday, March 18, 2014these are quite lightweight, which should be great for spring hiking when you want more than shorts. Stretchy fabric and the only reason I didn't give 5 starts is I don't particularly care for an inside drawstring and these pants have it, and the gravel color is definitely a Greenish gray color, so know this when you order. Otherwise they fit just fine and have sun protection without a boot cut flare leg.

5.0 out of 5 stars. PerfectReviewed by Anonymous from Florida on Thursday, February 20, 2014These are perfect for kayaking. They have some stretch in the fabric, so I can kayak comfortably all day. If they get splashed with water, they dry very quickly.
