These would be great for lounging though, or for layering with skirts.

I think I prefer full length with boots. I did love the waist band, and the feel of the tights was really thick and supportive feeling. Wish I liked the length better. I think they would well more as tights for exercise, with the supportive feel of the fabric. Love Smartwool, and loved the price here!
