5.0 out of 5 stars. Useful, humid summer shorts

This is a terrific idea for summer shorts. Durable fabric, lots of room for the thighs to mover around and a gusseted crotch (important if you move around a lot). My only question ... has anyone from Mountain Hardware (or Columbia designs) tried to use the small, zipper pocket when you are wearing the shorts? Odd protection method, the curve of the thigh makes the zipper almost impossible to use. So I just leave it open, which sort of defeats the idea but makes it easier to retrieve things.

Odd oversite to a really great design. I'd actually give these a 4.5 if that were possible but will stick with the 5 as the shorts are really comfortable and hopefully are durable.

Not much else to say. They feel durable and are really light weight.
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Low riders

I ordered the 28 waist, and the waist actually measured 31.5". If you are young and like wearing pants slung low so that 2" of underwear shows above the belt line, then it fits fine. If you're old like me and don't like to show underwear, then they don't fit. I liked the design and fabric enough that I paid a seamstress to alter the waist, doubling the cost of the shorts. Now they fit and I like them. Had they fit out of the package, they would have gotten 5 stars.

Got em, love em. They are durable and fit well. These shorts seem to be able to be multifunctional for different uses. True to size if not just a little big.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Nice Shorts for Summer

I just received these and I am impressed with them. The fit is very nice. I opted for the 9" inseam since I like shorts to hit above my knee. The pockets are low profile so it doesn't look like you are wearing baggy cargo shorts. They are a nice lightweight fabric that looks like it will dry quickly and keep me cool although I haven't put them through their paces yet. I was expecting a stretchy fabric since it's listed as 4 way stretch fabric. They have zero stretch whatsoever. That's fine with me though since stretchy fabrics usually get loose over time. These are a great deal with a coupon code, I'll be keeping my out for another pair.
