3.0 out of 5 stars. BackpackingVerified Buyer Reviewed by Goatsolo from Washington on Monday, May 29, 2017Got this for backpacking. It is good quality and good for taller people but it's too heavy at 2.5lbs

3.0 out of 5 stars. Not as spec statedReviewed by Davica from PA on Tuesday, November 29, 2016Although this seems like a decent stool it is twice as heavy (and that is important for bACKPACKING) as stated and holds 250 not 275lbs. Bought for a gift for a larger man and hopefully it'll hold. For the price, Ill chance it. I sat on it and it functions as a stool, not sure about steadiness on uneven ground, but I'm not unhappy with the purchase

5.0 out of 5 stars. PerfectVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Ohio on Sunday, November 8, 2015Perfect size and seems comfy enough for a fireside evening and camp dinner. Packs up as compact as a chair could, IMO. Keeps car clutter at a minimum

5.0 out of 5 stars. I love this stoolReviewed by Anonymous from Washington on Thursday, December 4, 2014While it is too heavy for backpacking, this stool is perfect for everyday use and car camping. It is comfy, sturdy, and has a a convenient shoulder strap and Velcro tie to hold the legs together. If you are looking for a tripod stool, this is a much better option th anything you are likely to find at a sporting goods store.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Rather tall stool, but comfy.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Northern California on Sunday, April 13, 2014I was hoping that this would be a bit shorter and easier to pack, but this will work just fine for cragging. It's pretty sturdy and light. The strap is useful for carrying purposes, as it doesn't really fit in a backpack easily. Seems pretty solid. And it's a comfy seat. Good value for the price.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Travel StoolReviewed by Helen from Yonkers, NY on Monday, March 24, 2014Too heavy for backpacking but just right for car camping or sitting on the sidelines at the kid's game.

1.0 out of 5 stars. Too Heavy!Reviewed by Zimberto from Seattle on Monday, February 10, 2014The published specs say this chair is 1lb 14oz. It is not. It is 2lb 3oz. Too heavy for backpacking.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Don't expect to put it into a suitcaseReviewed by AZ Lilly from Paradise Valley, AZ on Thursday, January 16, 2014Bought this to take traveling - will fit into a large suitcase, but not conveniently, so not really practical to pack it for air travel. Also the over-the-shoulder strap isn't as convenient as is the cane-type handle on similar products. Would return but the cost was about the same as the return shipping so will keep it.

4.0 out of 5 stars. A place to sit at the craigReviewed by climbing Gramps from Delaware on Thursday, January 2, 2014This is a nice lightweight stool, under 2 lbs, with a sturdy build. Remember a stool with three legs is not as steady as, with four. When your friends are belaying and climbing a one pitch craig its nice to have a place to sit that is not in the line of rockfall. It would be even better if made of light weight carbon fiber but then it would be too expensive.
