Most Helpful 2-Star Review

2.0 out of 5 stars. Heel blisters

These shoes would be great but the heels are made at an angle and really dig into the back of my heels. They are very rigid so there’s little give on the heel cuff. I have blisters on both heels from these and I wore them once to 2 stores AND I wore think wool socks... they bled. Initially I had cotton socks on but noticed it immediately after putting on.

They look cool though. I’m wearing these right now hoping I can break them in without breaking my heels. They are also fairly uncomfortable at the start. My feet hurt right now.

The size is true. I wear size 12 and they feel like 12s. I do wish I had 12.5 because wool socks take up room and make them feel tighter. Eventually I’d like to wear these with cotton ankle socks but... no. Not happening until they stop running.

After these loosen up and get wore out a bit, I’m sure these would be 4 star easily.

About Merrell

The story of Merrell boots all started with a guy named Randy Merrell, who began handcrafting leather hiking boots back in 1981, shortly after graduating from industrial shoemaking school. By the mid-80s, Randy’s boots had already gained critical acclaim before being named “best boots in the world” by Backpacker Magazine. The next decade saw the arrival of new footwear, including the ever-popular Jungle Moc, which helped launch the after-sport category. Today, Merrell hiking boots, running shoes and sneakers are still among the best on the market, always combining the newest technology, innovative designs and outstanding comfort. Whether you hike, run, walk or just appreciate high-quality shoes and boots, we’re confident that you’ll love Merrell shoes.
