5.0 out of 5 stars. Great Shoe, HOKA anything is top NOTCH!Reviewed by Outdoor Girl from Colorado on Sunday, September 29, 2019I have been diagnosed with a back disorder that not only is rare, but is un-treatable and no cure. The nickname for this is velcro nerves, because they stick to each other and causes pain like no other 24/7. Now that's been said, I was unable to wear any of my shoes that I had. I heard about HOKA from a podiatrist friend and now that is all I own! From hiking, walking, flip flops, and slide on's, If I could run I'd have a pair of running shoes, and dress shoe. Yes, I said dress shoe. I do not get out much but when I am able I wear the flat black and grey tennis shoe. I can not praise HOKA enough. It has aided me in walking or standing which has now become a little more bearable because of HOKA. Please please, come out with dress boots and snow boots (able to walk through snow and mud and keep dry). Thanks HOKA!! You really do help folks.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great Hiking Boots Fog Green/OliveVerified Buyer Reviewed by Hike Therapy from Vermont on Tuesday, May 28, 2019These run a half size big. I usually wear an 8.5 but bought these in an 8 and they fit great. My first hike in them was 5.5 miles. Comfortable right from the start. Lots of cushion and love the ultra hi ankle support and grippy soles. My only complaint is the awful color. I'll get over it because they are amazing in every other way.

5.0 out of 5 stars. great stabilityVerified Buyer Reviewed by Svenster from Washington the D.C. on Wednesday, March 6, 2019Bought these to help me get active again after a break to the tibia near the lateral malleolus near the ankle with an associated ankle effusion. Needed something with great orthotics that would give me support above the level of the injury. The soles of these shoes provide incredible purchase on a variety of surfaces and the ankle stability is perfect. The ankles are perfectly supportive without being over-padded. As the area of previous injury can swell when I'm up for a long time, I paired these with some athletic compression socks and now feel like I can get back out there again. I had been wearing a mid-rise La Sportive lightweight hiker that is a great shoe, but the lower level of the ankle cuff and padding was causing some irritation at the injury site.
Now I am a major fan of Hoka One One. These shoes have enabled me, after my first leg break ever, to get back on my feet. Hope to be running again in a few months in these shoes. They are so helpful to me that I bought a pair in a size up and one in my regular size in order to accommodate any swelling that might occur in recovering leg/ankle.
I can't recommend these enough anyone who has suffered a break near the ankle or ankle effusion. I'm sure they would be great for anyone who needs extra ankle stability and good reactive footbase with stellar traction.
So, in short, this long time purchaser of many types of athletic and hiking boots, with lots of experience in the field and as a runner, is exceptionally happy to have found this brand and especially, in this particular case, an athletic shoe with additional vertical support for the ankle. Mid is good enough in some cases. But this high rise model is perfect.
I'm back in the saddle, again, and pleased as punch. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Love the fit, but waterproof they are notVerified Buyer Reviewed by Elkabelka from Colorado on Monday, February 11, 2019The is the second identical pair I have bought.... Very, very comfortable, and perfect for plantar fasciitis sufferers.
One thing to point out is that these are NOT waterproof boots. Not sure how they can be sold as such but any moisture you encounter on the trail will seep thought he mesh in the front.... quite disappointing. If these shoes were not such a great fit, and so light, I would not give them 4 stars..... -
3.0 out of 5 stars. Fit problemVerified Buyer Reviewed by Baby my feet from CA on Wednesday, January 23, 2019The fit is not right for me. Unlike the brands I normally wear, this is too wide in the front and to narrow in the heel. Thought I would try something light weight for a change, but this is not it.
