Foot/ankle recoveryVerified Buyer Reviewed by Truly recovery slides from North Dakota on Thursday, February 7, 2019I purchased these sandals in the hopes I could wear them around the house to help transition from my orthopedic boot (post two surgeries on my foot and ankle) back into regular shoes. Truly for recovery purposes. I had a calcaneal osteotomy, a partial osteotomy on the back of my foot near my Achilles and a nerve resection. The heel of my foot is very tender to walk on and the back of my foot is still slightly swollen so using a highly cushioned open back sandal was important. These slides are very well cushioned, which absorbs my weight when walking and provides a little “bounce” as I project forward. They have proven to be worth every penny. I am able to walk comfortably in them without having pain in my heel. I would highly recommend them for anyone who needs to wear something with a lot of cushion. I assume they would feel amazing for tired achy feet as well. They are true to size.
